Feeling so lucky and grateful that I get to take these two ladies with me to work!

Avila is 6 months old... half a year!!! Avila tried some of her first foods this past month including rice cereal, peas, carrots, banana, and apples. She has liked everything we've given her and loves to hold the spoon while she eats. She is still nursing throughout the day and maybe once at night. She is sitting, laying on her tummy, and rolling over. She is so happy and absolutely loves being around her sister. She is teething and I think those pearly little white should be popping through any day now!

Our Valentine's Day was spent driving up the coast to Monterey as a family. While it was a beautiful drive, it was probably the worst way possible to spend the day. Both girls slept until we got pass Cambria, which was awesome! Evey did great the whole and trip and was such a trooper. Avila, on the other hand, was not interested in sitting in her carseat and pretty much cried off & on the entire way. We got stuck in traffic for about 45 minutes in Big Sur from on accident on Hwy 1 and then as we made our way to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, we noticed a line of over 100 people wrapping around the building to get tickets. We decided to quickly turn around which we realized was not possible because of all the traffic and tourists on the Embarcadero. It took us about an hour just to get off the main drag and we ended up at a shitty pizza place before getting back in the car and driving home. Luckily, the girls both passed out and slept the whole way home! Not my favorite day... but at least we were all together... right?!

We've been working on this one for quite awhile! Evey's been going pee on the potty for several months now, but refused to go #2... saying "it's not working" and would request a pull-up to do her business. It's been a long road but we are so proud of this little lady and all her hard work at potty training!
