Happy Retirement Mrs. Hames!

We were back up on the Central Coast this weekend to celebrate Lynn's retirement! We rented this killer house in Atascadero and partied with the whole Hames crew... such an awesome weekend getaway! Congrats to my mother-in-law on finally retiring after teaching for almost 40 years!

Happy Father's Day!

We celebrated Father's Day up on the Central Coast with the Hames family this year. We started out with coffee at Starbucks and then opened presents (Evey painted her dad a mug at Paint A Dream... it says I Love Dad... kinda hard to tell with her artistry), and then we went to dinner at Jocko's with the whole Hames crew. Evey is one lucky girl to call this guy daddy!

Grandma Lynn with her two granddaughters!

Back in May, when we went to Paint A Dream to create daddy's gift... she got to choose 3 colors, pink b/c it's her favorite color, black b/c of dad's shirts, and grey b/c of mom's dress.

Milk Goatee?

For some reason, Evey's chocolate milk mustache always ends up looking more like a goatee than a stache.

Maui Vacation

We just got back from an incredible 9 day vacation in Maui! This was Matt and my third time to Maui and Evelynn's first trip. She did incredibly well on the flight... but I think 5 hours on a plane is probably her max as of now. We stayed at the Aina Nalu in Lahaina, the same place we stayed for our honeymoon. The pool is awesome and it's only two blocks from Front Street which makes it super convenient to walk to town to grab eats & drinks and to go shopping. We went everywhere and did everything that Maui has to offer... from cruising upcountry and visiting the Ulupalakua Vineyards to beachin it all over the east and west sides of the island. We watched the sunrise on top of Haleakala and the sunset at Black Rock in Kaanapali. We spent mornings and evenings at the pool located in our condo and ate delicious food at some incredible restaurants. This was a much needed vacation for our little family of three... and I can't wait until we are able to go back to Maui with the soon-to-be fourth member of the Hames family!
