On Saturday, we met up with Grandma Lynn and Pa Steve in Santa Barbara for lunch and shopping on State Street. Evelynn had so much fun hanging out with her grandparents and of course got hooked up with some sweet stuff from the toy store!
Jane Restaurant on State Street in Santa Barbara
On our way home, we decided to stop at Cava Restaurant in Montecito for dinner. Evelynn was passed out in her carseat and surprisingly stayed asleep as we carried her into the restaurant and all the way through our meal... that never happens! Our table had a sofa bench with pillows that made for the prefect little bed for Evey to snooze while Matt and I enjoyed an semi-kid-free dinner!
On Sunday, I woke up to Matt and Evelynn making me a delicious Mother's Day breakfast followed by such thoughtful gifts from my two favorite people in the world! I feel so lucky to have such an incredible husband and daughter... and I am beyond excited to add another member to our family!
Matt had our buddy Ryan draw up another picture to add to our collection... this one is of Ventura Pier. It was a year ago today that the three of us went to the end of this pier to honor our lil Hames that we had lost. The flowers pictured are those that we threw off the end of the pier in memory of our little one... and he even had him draw the bracelet I got wrapped around the bouquet of flowers, "Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end." Such an incredibly thoughtful gift... I am such a lucky momma!
To finish off this wonderful Mother's Day, Matt made me lobster with scallop risotto for dinner!
Wishing my momma a Happy Mother's Day... seriously cannot wait for the day that we live closer to each other so we can celebrate special days like today together! But at least my mom got to spend the day with Drew and Jak down by the Truckee River. Love you Sherwin!

With wedding season right around the corner and then Baby #2 due in a little over 3 months, I want to make sure that Evey and I get in plenty of mother / daughter time before things start to change. I decided to take Miss Stone to Disney California Adventure today since we didn't really get to experience much of this park last time we did Disneyland. And then halfway through the day, Matt showed up to play with us too!
Super pumped on the tram!
King Triton's Carousel
First time eating cotton candy!
Sugar rush after eating cotton candy!
Meeting Woody & Jessie!
She was super scared of Woody but loved Jessie despite the look on her face.
Mickey's Fun Wheel... she loved the swinging cart!
Had to get a Jessie hat after Toy Story Midway Mania... she loved this ride!
Made it until 7:30pm without a nap... not too shabby!
