Evelynn & Cousin Ava

Aunt Sally, Chloe, and cousin Ava decided to come visit and meet Miss Ariela. It was so cute seeing Evey and Ava tear it up together! We decided to do some shopping at the mall and let the girls ride the train and carousel. Evelynn was not a fan of the train... but LOVED the carousel!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had full house for Thanksgiving this year! Matt's grandparents (Don & Maurine), his parents (Lynn & Steve), and Dana's dad and sister (Allen & Danielle) all came down to celebrate Ari's first Thanksgiving! We are so thankful for another lil lady in the Hames family!

Home Sweet Home

After a week in Boise, we are home and cozy & comfy in our own beds... with Jessie, Woody, and Rex. This lady is OBSESSED with Toy Story right now!

Boise to LAX - Heading Home

Our vacation has finally come to an end... and what an amazing trip it was! I'm so proud of Evelynn and how well she did traveling... being in a new place... and meeting new people! I had such a blast doing it up in Boise and spending quality with one of my best pals! Kelli and I met the summer of 2001 in Boise before she moved to Las Vegas to go to UNLV with me. As you can imagine, our lives were quite different back then... to say the least! I am so grateful that the time and distance from one another has only made our friendship stronger. Kelli is an incredible friend and an even better mother and I'm so lucky to have such a soul sister to go through motherhood and life with... the SaranKelli River will forever flow strong! Love you Krazy Kel... thank you for being such a lovely host and we're sending you lots of aloha and good vibes as you move your family back to "island."

Boise Trip - Day 5

We really did it up on our last full day in Boise! We started out with coffee in downtown followed by a trip to Jump Time to let the kids get out some energy, and then grabbed a late lunch at Old Chicago, before taking the kids home to nap. Then Kelli convinced me to let her brother and sister-in-law watch the kids while we went to a concert. I was super hesitant, as I've never left Evelynn with anyone expect our immediate family. But they all assured me she'd be fine and would have fun, so I caved... and Kelli and I had the BEST time rockin' out to The Green at The Knitting Factory!

Boise Trip - Day 4

Today we did lunch and the library in Hyde Park while Kaikoa was at school. Once he got home, we took all three kids to see Big Hero 6 at the theater... and they all LOVED it!

Boise Trip - Day 3

What do you do when you wake up to fresh snow? YOU GO SLEDDING!

After an incredible day of sledding, we invited some girlfriends and their kids over for dinner. It was so fun to see Amy and Sali and finally meet their kids! Amy is 7 months pregnant and has Christopher (6 years old) and Ellie (4 years old) and Sali is a new mommy to baby Graeme (9 months old). The kids had so much fun tearing apart the play room while we reminisced about our summer together in Boise 13 years ago!

Boise Trip - Day 2

Poor Kaikoa and Cruz had to go to school today... so Kelli, Evelynn, and I got coffee and chilled out at the house until they were done. After school, we took the kiddos to The Village for dinner at the Yard House and arcade games at Big Al's. Evelynn loved playing the games and especially loved ripping the tickets out of the machines as they came out. Then it was off to the prize room to pick out all their goodies from their tickets they won!

LAX to Boise - Evey's 1st Flight

Our Idaho trip to see the Racca family is finally here! Evelynn and I flew out of sunny LA this morning and arrived to a beautiful snow covered Boise! Evey did so well navigating through the airport and on the plane... I was so proud of her! I had lots of toys, activities, and candy to keep her amused during the 2 hour flight. The first thing she said when we stepped out of the plane in Boise was "mommy... I's cold." I quickly unpacked her down North Face jacket and bundled her up. Kelli and her two boys, Kaikoa and Cruz, were there to pick us up... let the adventures begin!

Hooray for winter!!!
Kaikoa, Cruz, and Evelynn finally meet!
